Mom's Time Out

Hi there. I'm Alice. I'm a 43 year old stay-at-home Mom and I live near Atlanta, Georgia. I've been married 4 years to my husband, Richard. He had 3 boys when we married and I had one. We then had one together (another boy!) and so we are a blended family with 5 boys; ages now are 13, 13, 12, 11 and 3.

I am a writer and I have two published children's books out by Publish America. One is "Mommy the Moon Smiled At Me!" (by Alice Avery, which was my name at the time) and the other is "Mommy Someone Is Blowing Me Kisses".  I wrote and illustrated these for my then only son, Matthew. He is now 13. Both books are available from Amazon.com.

                                              

I am working on getting some more children's books published. One is "Henry the Boot Wearing Caterpillar" and the other is "Dreamland". The Children's Literary Agency is helping me to get these out there for you to enjoy with your kids as well.  I'll keep you posted!

I also write song lyrics for Contemporary Christian songs, Country songs, and Love songs. I've worked with Nashville Song Service for several songs but no big hits yet. 

I'm also working on a romance novel that has a Christian message to it as well. The hard part is finding the time for all the writing I'd love to do! This website is a great outlet for my writing as well. I just found two wonderful sites for writers. One is Helium and the other is Faith Writers. If you like to write you should check these out!
